March 24, 2018

LIVE MUSIC Saturday Night at 7:30PM!

A veteran performer Frankie “Bones” Shenave started his first band, Pony Express in 1985 with his good friend Tony Furtado, playing acoustic guitar and upright bass.  Later down the road he toured with Furtado, Matt Flinner, and David Grier on a U.S/U.K tour in 1993. After a break from the music scene to finish college, he found his way back into the spotlight playing electric bass with local bands The Charlie Murphy Band and Keith Douglas & The Rhythm Critters.  Digging deep into his roots, Frnkie picked up his guitar again after 20 years on Bass. Inspired again, Frankie ventured out as a solo artist playing his originals at the local open mics.  It was at these open mics that his path crossed with his future musical collaborators: Jeff Mirocha (Bass), Mark Waterford (Acoustic Guitar), Bill Ziegler (Drums) and the Frankie Bones Project was born. A singer songwriter for over 20 years Frankie Bones’ music is shaped in the roots of acoustic folk rock ~ inspired by James Taylor, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Jackson Browne, he takes what many would call “standards” and finds a way to make them his own.   Recently he picked up the ukulele as a shtick, and as it turns out it’s a real crowd pleaser, covering the likes of Dire Straits, Jimmy Buffett, Paul Simon, and The Beatles….not to mention The Rolling Stones. With over a dozen original compositions, he stretches many genres.  With the release of his debut CD “Living in a Bottle” the Frankie Bones Project will be following up with some videos of the band……keep your eyes open!
